UNVR running 5.0.45 shows 1-4 properly and disk "repairing" on the new drive as it is being integrated into the system. Great video

I'm surprised you didn't lose the whole array when you realized you grabbed the wrong drive again, popped it back in and pulled another drive before the raid could resync, pretty damn lucky

Thank you for the video, I was curious how Ubiquiti treats the drives.

Thanks for the video, I have a good understanding of RAID5 etc but very helpful to see a real-life case with Unifi Protect. One question/worry I have with the Unifi drive numbering is in the case of a drive failure how would we know which drive to replace? In your simulation, all the drives were healthy so removing one at a time until you find the correct drive wasn't a problem. I would be concerned that with a real failed drive, what would happen if the wrong drive was ejected. The RAID would no longer be viable with two drives down, hopefully, it would be smart enough to recover by replacing the wrongly ejected drive but I wouldn't want to be the first to try that with a production system.
