Really nice! Been a huge fan of Bruce & the band since 1973's Greetings from Asbury park. Also voted for President Obama twice and really appreciated his public service.
Ironically I'm actually related from eons ago to the late John Dickenson, on my late father's side of the family, who signed the constitution from the state of Delaware (the state now President Biden represented very well when he was in the U.S. Senate).
Bruce you'll be playing in my hometown in September. Hopefully I'll be able to make the show.
Like everyone I value my privacy - hence that's why I didn't give the exact date in September. I saw you & the E St Band play at that venue in 85 & I recall you mentioning a certain food bank & that actually helped a lot of people.
My Dad suffered from depression & sadly took his life & even though it was over 6 years ago it still really breaks my heart. As a kid I used to listen to your tune "Independence Day" because I could relate if ya know what I mean.
You know about depression - I've a good memory when you talked with Ed Bradley about it on 60 minutes years ago. By you & others being open about depression it helps others realize they're not alone in the world when they're feeling down.
Apparently it runs in my family because my brother Jay checked out early in 2007. Not that many people lose 2 family members that way.
I'll try to make the September concert in my town. Life's just been a bummer for me regarding my Dad because later in life he became my best friend. He was about the only family I'd left so life's been hard.
About the only thing that cheers me up is your music & when Democrats win elections:)
Thanks to you, the band & the Obama family for always trying to make the world a better & more just place for all.
