I think in-game, that fur part will look less annoying and make her pop more. Plus, since she's mature muscular woman, her base model do need some shape difference from our queen Illaoi. I think they could achieve similar effect with cape or large ornaments, but I think the designer thought it's out of her character to choose looks over practicality in battle.

My prediction is that her ult will make her transform from using melee to a fully chained melee weapon + gained attack range + stats buff and enhanced ability

Green bits should've been like gray with black highlights. She still looks badass though

I think the green is a clue about Ambessa's heritage. Not full Noxian colors might mean she's half Noxian/Shuriman. That might be the origin of the Medardas

the way the camera moves away from her, it looks like she knocks it back, so maybe that chain thing slaps champ(s) away, like maokai Q or something

Can't say I ever looked at her in Arcane and thought "man, I wish she was a champion"

The green works on her design because she's supposed to represent the old noxus regime. To anyone who doesn't know, Noxus' color before was mainly green instead of the red and black color we have today. You can see this in Swain and Urgot's old character designs.
