Byway is for days of endless hardpack exploration and gravel grinding while also providing noticeable efficiency on any pavement linking it all together. A swiftly smooth centerline is paired to a textured intermediate section that provides a seamless transition onto small outer knobs for unwavering traction in loose dirt and gravel. Prominent outer knobs also extend down the sidewall to provide an additional level of defense from roadside unpleasantries of all shapes and sizes.

Byway 700c x 34 is an identical replacement to the previously named Exposure 34 tire. We renamed the tire to creating a uniform naming structure where all tires are named according to tread pattern.

FEATURES:

Smooth centerline for efficiency with diamond shaped outer knobs for grip in the dirt.
High volume tire enables comfortable ride.
Dual Compound rubber means a fast rolling tire with great corning traction.

I purchase a pair of WTB Byway34 Tires for my wife’s gravel bike and had nothing but struggles getting a seal. I purchased the whole kit (Byway tires, Muc-Off sealant and Stan’s valve stems) new from my LBS. The tires mounted easily and pressurized with little effort but once I put sealant in I started to notice pinholes in the sidewalls. The first night the tires went flat by morning and the pinhole count was modest. This cycle of going flat over night went on for four days and the number of pinholes exceeded a hundred. You could clearly see a pattern consistent with the underlying fabric weave. (photos available) I’ve never seen a tubeless tire so poorly constructed with hundreds of pinholes requiring four days to fully seal.

I have been watching a lot of videos about the Priority Apollo bike, which comes standard with these tires. In all the videos I've seen, these tires seem to be extremely puncture prone. Can't you find a way to slip a layer of armor in there somehow, ala Continental tires? I think you have the best tread pattern but those flats . . .

Which is the pressure range for a tubeless setup in these tires? I'm specially interested on sizes 700x40 and 700x44
Thanks in advance

Forget it. Bought 2 of these tires and 1 won’t hold air overnight. Apparently it is a known issue.

Avoid this tire at all costs. Zero puncture protection and soft compound make this tire extremely susceptible to punctures. I had two punctures in less then 20 miles then they saw the inside of my garbage can.
