great video, did a few swings and finally understood how to not hit my knuckles on the open (my using pointer to soften) and that that it was an open, spin, then close to grip. (was first video i watched too and think that's all i need)

I live in Denmark and i have a balisong but as a comb (since a balisong knife is illegal here) and for me i just opened it like you you do just right out of the box, i sort of just came naturally to me, like for me it was just like "Its this movement you need to do and thats it)

At 8:27 you demonstrate the opening, saying to spin it all the way around and back but then end up with a closed knife.
