Elements of the 26th MEU, Battalion Landing Team 1/6, conduct a range part of Military Operations in Urban Terrain (MOUT) training on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. MOUT training increases the lethality of the MEU’s infantrymen through live-fire drills, room clearing procedures and small team tactics in order to prepare for their upcoming deployment.

Corps has changed a lot since I've been out. Glad to see Marines are getting better gear and staying sharp! 🦅 🌎 ⚓

Interesting seeing regular marines with gear that special forces used not too long ago. Things sure have improved.

The primary role of the Marine Corps has changed since I served in the early 80's. We were trained to shoot from foxholes and stationary positions. Glad to see the shift as the threats have evolved over time. Marines have always been adaptable. SEMPER FI! MARINES.

Recently served in the men look real sharp. Gotta love Marine Infantry. God have mercy on anyone who fights them because them boys won't show any.

as a soldier, i’ll admit it. the marine corps has a lot over us in terms of proper combat shooting and gear.

I must say that I am really impressed by these soldiers. They are handling their drills with confidence and focus.
I know how hard such a drill can be when you just stand long enough on a shooting range.
Much respect boys
Love from Germany 🇩🇪

I remember training to go to Afghanistan right after 9/11, back in January of 2002 with 1st Battalion 5th Marines, we still had Desert Storm era gear. Mission got canceled 2 days before we were supposed to deploy though.

Rare sight of Marines actually using the burst function of M4/M16. I can count with one hand how many times we went to a range and did a drill/ or told to use burst that called for bursts over the course of 6 years in the grunts.

I'm jealous. I was issued a heavily used M16A1, steel pot helmet and Alice gear when I was in "The Suck."

Iv been in the Navy for 19 years, but if I ever went to another branch, it would be the Marines. Those dudes are solid.

Wow, these rifles and suppressors are a step up from when I saw marine infantry in Afghanistan in 2010. Dudes still were using M16A4 with an ACOG. Even when I was in the Army, as an infantryman, getting a suppressor was only for specialized units. Guys in my LRSD had them but getting them in the regular infantry was basically a pipe dream.

Nice . It's nice seeing them start to do bill drills, 1R1s . Hopefully they'll eventually start using shot timers and push sense of urgency and mechanical drills as well

That Camp has a serious issue with suicides, murder, gangs, and illegal activity. My cousin (was enlisted so far for 3 years) was just killed by two other Marines in his barracks room. JAG’s been investigating since November 2022.

Definitely looks like the M27 IAR(aka the USMC HK416 with a 16" barrel) gets very heavy when fully kitted out with a Knights NT4 suppressor, PEQ device(or whatever laser aiming module is being used currently), Trijicon VCOG, and a flashlight in some cases and in some cases a bipod. I hope it works good in combat.

Marines don't mess around. Train to fight. Fight as you were trained.

I was in 99-04, used Iron Sights, got out, went Air Force for a few, came back to the Corps in 2009, we were using ACOGs by then. Things have definitely changed a lot in the Corps. Some things good, some things not so good.

Had to do a double take on the gear, not used to seeing marines so well equipped lol. They look like they could be SOF
