I wish they would add helmet stats + passives and capes as well some passives...
Helmet stats could be as the armor, heav - normal - light.. passives could be to see better in clouds or less headshotdmg or better stamina because of some breathing thing in the helmet or night vision ect.... there are many things they could add...
Capes could have things like turning colours into its backround making you 20% less visible, kevlar cape giving more dmg reduction from projectiles, anti acid material, and so on...
I would even add some more eq slots... like gloves to reload quicker, less recoil ect...
shoes to move faster, use less stamina ect...

It would be cool if the added something more to the armors. So like the one with the bone necklace does 10 percent more damage to bugs. Or something like that rather than generic same stats.

Seeing so many armor recolors makes me ask the question if we are not getting color customization for each armor but instead we getting the same armor with different colors? An example would be the default armor, theres a lot of versions here
