Many people mistakenly equate being lean to having a fast metabolism. Like when they see someone eat a lot for one day or one meal, they assume that's how that person eats all the time. They often don't see behind the scenes, like how disciplined these lean people are outside of those meals.

I'm 125 pounds (though, I'm trying to go up a kilogram or so at the moment) at 5'8", for instance, and I usually have a huge cheat meal every week (can be as high as 9-10k calories in one sitting, lol). I've been assumed of having a fast metabolism by others countless times. I openly admit to them I don't have it, and that I didn't eat very much a few days prior and that I workout twice a day most days and each session lasts for a few hours.

I find it very easy if I go by weekly calories instead of daily calories, and I enjoy food so much more while still getting results. Let's be honest: we all overeat at least occasionally. It's a matter of how we eat on days around that occasion. The issue with most people is that they don't bother compensating by doing more activity and/or eating less before and/or after. Yet, people are quick to blame their so-called 'slow metabolism' for being overweight.

Not to mention, sometimes those little snacks, condiments, taste testing, liquid calories, or even just those few bites of cheesecake you shared with your friend can add up. And I've realized that it's a big discrepancy between lean and overweight individuals: outside of those occasional cheat meals, the overweight people are far more likely to engage in that habit, which they don't bother accounting for.
