May I add that a lot of those jobs on indeed and etc are fake listings, or them simply looking for a "perfect" reppacement for someone else

There’s also plenty of us sitting in jobs we don’t like to pay bills while applying to every other position and not getting call backs.

The only way I’ve been able to get interviews is through friends who were telling me their places were hiring and recommended me

The lay off information is inaccurate. Here in Wisconsin, blue collar workers are being forced to take a 3 to 4 day weekends because there is simply no work. We are almost to lay offs. Businesses are just trying to avoid it

I've been unemployed for 6 months, news of a recession is not a surprise to me. I've been living it.

It’s funny cuz ABC news said they are 200, 000 plus jobs added. Crazy because the reality is those jobs are hard to even get a response lol

It seems a lot of people don't realize that a nations economy can have high inflation and high unemployment. It's called stagflation. When you have one problem and then get another problem, you usually end up with two problems... it's not very common your new problem fixes your old problem.

I been unemployed for 4 months, was looking for a part time, because I want to go back to school. However, I gave up and I’m applying for full time. I been applying like crazy and I have gone to so many interviews! A lot of them are over zoom so it makes it easy. But it hard to go to all this interviews and not getting a call backs I know I’m a good employee and I’m qualified in my position. If I don’t get a job by this week coming up. I’m just going to apply for McDonald or some fast food restaurant.

Starbucks and McDonalds specifically have also been highlighted by the BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanction) Committee this year. Even if they get removed from the list, I've heard from a lot of people also in the movement that once they made it a habit to stop going, they realized they never really needed it and have kept it out of their routine altogether.

Don't be fooled by ghost jobs and don't sell yourselves short.

Indeed is full of “job” listings that are clearly not vacancies but jobs someone else already holds 😂

You know Caleb's made it big if McDonalds takes a dive. When does panda express report?

As an idahoan, I'm happy to see our unemployment being low. That also being said, I can verify we are not all in the potatoe industry haha. Transportation is huge here; I'm personally involved in that sector. Would love to come on Financial Audit one day and I'll bring some fresh 🥔 🥔

I don’t care what anyone says. We’ve been in a recession for literal years now unofficially Ever since the whole pandemic thing

Writing is on the wall yall. Seriously we need to be wise and pinch our Pennie’s. Don’t be spending if we don’t have to. Pay off debt and get ready for the fall that the powers at be have been delaying. Just my thoughts

Wasn’t this what sort of the expectation we’ve been waiting for to reduce rates. Everyone was mad rates weren’t going down but ignored the job and unemployment numbers but now that it’s the opposite everyone is mad the other way???

Also as of currently $35 trillion national debt.

Caleb, don't forget that what was layoff in the past, today is a "voluntary separation". So it is not a layoff technically, but it is a reduction of employment force in a corporation.

It’s so hard to find a summer job for college when I go back home because employers either aren’t hiring but still have listings so I waste all my time applying to positions that don’t exist or the employers take 2-3 months to respond…
