Sometimes it’s videos like this that I realize I was so lucky to have parents who did stuff like this. every weekend we cleaned the house, I was in charge of cleaning the bathrooms and my dad showed me this trick back when I was like 9/10 <3

I work apartment maintenance and can tell you that vinegar works just as well. We have really bad hard water here and I have at least 2 shower heads soaking at any given time. With aerators however we buy a new pacake and rotate the old ones into the soak each time we have a move out.

We had the same issue with some 1985 taps at an 85 year old ladies house. We couldn’t get the aerators out as they were solid with calcium. We just replaced the faucets with new ones jut to make her feel good to get something new after that long.

CLR is on the list with WD 40 and duct tape for super useful things to have around

I use CLR to clean the baffles in my suppressors. It works great.

In a hard-water areas i suggest put aerator in a cup of vinegar for an hour too! works perfectly!

I took the aerator off of my kitchen faucet a few months ago and cleaned it too. It had tiny chunks of calcium deposits in it.
