Orbital Market -- A Better Unreal Marketplace

The contents of the Unreal Engine marketplace is full of great stuff... locked behind a lacklustre interface. Enter Orbital-Market, an open source and free front-end alternative and search engine over top of the UE market... that is MUCH better.

I don't think the epic marketplace is going away, it's current form may shift, but I think it will still exist... Given the fact that Fab is aimed at engine agnostic assets, I'm confident there will still be an UE only thing, It just won't get any love I would guess

Having the pricing history is already amazing as there have been developers that have been scamming people by increasing a price by 80% and then do a 75% discount etc

Watched the whole video, naturally. But my brain is stuck. What is click bait about a universal asset store? Yep the other announcements were great. EPIC knows how to host a presentation. No doubt. But no, there is nothing bigger than "all game engines". That's just layers of awesomeness.

Some search results are a little strange, but overall this is much more pleasant than the original UI. I like it.

Can't seem to put things in order by price which seems odd considering it's meant to make things easier. I like how you can play the youtube demo content right from search, and the ability to easily go back to your search results without messing things up is great. Will definitely use it.

For the marketplace, I'd really prefer a "Hide owned assets" filter. Seems basic, but whether you are just a dev searching for assets, or a dev offering an asset, the ability to show just assets a dev doesn't already have yet cuts down on a LOT of clutter.

Been using that as my go to for years now, Epic should be embarrassed. We won't see any 5.2 stuff until it is out of preview.
