It is not always heel pain. Mine is along the plantar band down the whole foot. Very painful. Everyone says Plantar Fashitis is in the heel and it is not.

Well that saved the time in using a ball to try to treat my plantar - appreciate the vids being short and too the point - too many you tube narrators waffle on and on before getting to the point.

Getting all of this information into a 3:19 minute video is commendable. Some people take that long to do an intro full of personality and fluff and totally useless. Also, no loud background music making it hard to hear and pay attention

Can someone give me some advice?

I’m only 17 and I’ve been struggling with plantar fasciitis for more than five years already and it’s been taking my WHOLE life away

Like I’m never happy and I just hate myself and wanna die

I used to be athletic and sprinted and stuff but now I can’t leave my house

I look up online many places for how to actually HEAL plantar fasciitis but many sites just say how to ease the pain

My pain is actually right under my foot ( if you flex back your foot, you can feel the plantar fascia, That’s where the pain is ) and surprisingly the pain occurs later throughout the day and feels the best in the morning

However, whenever I look online of how to heal it, 99.99% of the sites only point to pain at the heel of the foot

I went to so many doctors and none have been able to cure it
I even saw an acupuncturist for three months paying huge sums of money but it was all in vain

X ray scans come back saying my foot is normal ( well it clearly isn’t )

I can’t keep living like this
I HATE IT SO MUCH

E3 rehab I hope you see this comment and maybe give me some advice :)

Or anyone else

thank you so much 😊

A lack of inflammation? I'd have to dig through the paper a bit, but it doesn't take many inflammatory mediators to make things hurt. I'd probably say that there isn't much inflammation because there really isn't a lot of room for their to be inflammation. It'd be like looking for inflammation in the patella with someone who never took off a compression sleeve. In regards to the scar tissue/adhesions/all that soft tissue business. I think rather than refer to it as a myth, knots, bumps, tenderness, it is more a spectrum than it is an individual (put your thumb on it) type of deal. Just like how we used to call everything a buildup of lactic acid when in reality there are a number of metabolites. Anyway, super cool video and I love your approach to the subject!

Hi, I' m a forefoot striker and I tore my quadrant plantar muscle while training, when I recovered from that (2 months) my physiotherapist said I had a tear in the fascia. He injected an anti-inflammatory into my heal, bandaged me up and I rested for two weeks. Three weeks back into training and it's starting to hurt again. Are there any exercises I can do to help prevent this? I've tried the towel pulling with toes, lifting pencils, calf lifts It's driving nuts . TIA

Thanx from germany for your video. I suffered myself and always asked myself, if resting is a propriate way to get rid of all this pain. So I started to strengthen my calves and the pain is gone. And after that 1 year research I finally found your video! I'm 52 and very sporty, of course there is "irritation", like my menopause 😂 and grey hair. No excuse for resting!😉 Thank you very much! You made my day! 👍👍☀️😊

"Discussed in the next video." State that from the get-go and see how many people don't watch your videos. (JF)

One great way to increase the >healing< capacity when having plantar fasciitis already is by wearing a sock at night. The warmth will promote bloodflow and greatly enhance your plantar fascia's ability to heal. It has worked wonders for me!

This applies to many tendon, ligament, muscle or other musculoskeletal injuries by the way.
