I love how Morgan bases his videos on the books and not the movies. So many YouTubers use the movies. This spreads a message on how definitive the books really are.

"Harry and Ginny break up after Dumbledore's funeral"

Movie watchers: "Dumbledore's funeral?!?!?"

Some additional facts:
1. The Crouch family also had a house elf, Winky
2. Dudley and Harry had one final conversation before the Dursleys left Privet Drive and the two shook hands
3. Narcissa and Bellatrix actually had a third sister, Andromeda, who is also the mother of Nymphadora Tonks
4. Draco had a somewhat friendship with Moaning Myrtle during the sixth year

Number 1. "Did you put your name in the goblet of fire?" was asked calmly by Albus Dumble

My favorite part that the movies left out is probably the whole Regulus Black story. He's only a small part of the book, but he's one of the most heroic and unsung characters

Still didn’t finish the vid obviously, but the first thing that came to mind is Ginny actually got a personality and her relationship with Harry actually works

Just to name a few

- The maze task in The Goblet of Fire had several incredibly dangerous creatures
- The two-way mirror
- Signs of "weird figures" when Vernon commutes to work
- Apparition exams

Percy also wrote a very long letter to Ron in the 5th book advising him to disown Harry. His justification was that Harry was loosing his mind and for Ron’s best interest he should leave him.

Ron got redder and redder from anger as he read this letter and ended up ripping it to pieces and throwing it in the fire place.

Hermione was watching this happen with an “odd expression on her face, ” as the book mentioned. This act of loyalty towards Harry softened Hermione’s heart and she offered to help Ron with his essay.

These aren’t huge plot relavent points but my favourite thing about reading HP is the trios dynamic and I wanted to share this little moment :)

As a book reader, the fate of Peter Pettigrew legitimately pissed me off when I watched The Deathly Hollows Part 1 in cinemas. Instead of having a powerful character moment where everything goes full circle in a horrifying and kinda tragic way, all we get is ... "Ow". What were they thinking?

Fun book fact: Dumbledore didn’t know about the room of Requirement until the fourth book, where he needed a toilet.

Here’s one: Polyjuice Potion also changes your voice when you take it. This didn’t happen in the movies but it was pretty clear in the books.

I think Crookshanka deserves a shout out. She was the one who tried to help Sirius get Wormtail. She deserves a mention but movies missed it out.

Also Winky getting caught with Harry's wand in Goblet of fire and her dismissal and coming to work at Hogwarts was missed too (in fact they omitted her character all together)

And finally Bart Crough Sr's rescue of his son and hia love and loyalty to wife, really deserves to be mentioned

What's even more depressing about Percy disowning his family, is that he only understands the errors of his ways right before Fred is killed in front of him. Such a heartbreaking moment

I didn’t know about the amazing relationship between Remus and Tonks until I read the books and thank god I did. It saddens me how much of them was cut out of the movies 😭

Umbridge: Cedric diggory's death was a tragic accident

It's a crime they didn't show Pettigrew's death. He's the reason for everything after the wizarding war and all the filmmakers give us is "OW"?

When they saw Lockhart in the hospital, they also so Neville visiting his parents. I forgot if they mentioned this in the movie, but Beatrix was the one who put them there. She used the torture curse on them until they went insane.

Harry also asked the twins to use some of the shop money to buy new dress robes for Ron because he wouldn't accept the gift from Harry. Because Ron didn't want charity or anything else from Harry other than his love and friendship. And Harry just wanted to show he cared. Always loved that moment, it was so sweet.

One of my biggest movie peeves is when in year 3 when Snape subs for Lupin's class and calls Hermione an "insufferable know-it-all" AND RON SAYS "he's got a point"??!??? No! He defends her and gets detention for it. I will never understand why they changed this because it wouldn't even add runtime or anything. It's not like they have to show him doing the detention
