Sight + Sound Bites: Hearing with the Brain

This webinar focused on cochlear implants and the neural representation of sound, how these representations relate to cognition, and how they change in perceptual disorders.

Presenters were Philip Perez, MD, Assistant Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine who specializes in Otology and Neurotology, and Ross Williamson, PhD, Assistant Professor of Otolaryngology, Neurobiology, and Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine whose research focuses on understanding how neural circuits give rise to sensory-guided behavior.
