I like how instead of sacrificing himself with the possibility of his friend surviving, he chooses to not only die anyway, but also kill his friend, as well as the entire human race with it.

This is such a crazy idea for a horror movie, and the fact that the murderers were right in this situation is just so unique.

22:30 I think the force field is a dome since the stoner guy wasn't able to see the stars. And in the beginning we saw a bird being fried by the walls. It wouldn't make sense to build walls that high, unless it's a dome. They probably have some flying monsters, so a dome would be necessary. Remember that the monsters must be kept inside as well, not just the victims.

I've always wondered how the company dealt with damage control, specifically herding the monsters back into the cells after the event was done in the past. Some of them aren't of this world (e.g, the ghasts) and would need some critical thinking. Vacuum cleaner? Tranquilizers? Make a trail of candy leading to a box propped up by a stick on a string?

Cabin in the Woods could've been an amazing anthology where every episode is a different monster and the final episode being the events of the movie.

I love stories where the antag(s) are technically in the right when doing horrible stuff, but spite (or selfishness, i guess) drives the protag(s) to defy them and screw everyone over rather than be an involuntary sacrifice or something like that.
