We raise cattle around here, mostly black Angus 😒. In Australia, some of our soil is ancient and low in copper, and if the black Angus cattle have a rusty brown hue to their hide, they're likely on copper deficient pasture

I have a copper pitcher that I use to make my coffee or tea with. The water absorbs a tiny bit of copper, not too much, just sitting in the pitcher. It’s what our ancestors used.

Copper is needed for youthful hair color. I am almost 54 with very dark brunette hair that's only like 2% gray so far, 5% at most? And I went to pull out an extra obvious gray hair a few weeks ago, and it was most definitely still firmly attached in my scalp, I saw that it was gray on the end half but dark brown at the growing half!!!! My goats get a good amount of copper in their feed & loose minerals, and I love to drink goat milk & put heavy cream in my tea & coffee, and make butter & ghee with the goat milk too. I do mostly KETOvore bcz I also really enjoy gardening, and want to have an ongoing omnivore gut microbiome in case of emergency if we suddenly can't get enough animal based foods for whatever reason, probably political. You never know. I am determined to figure out how to fully degas Sunchokes bcz they actually taste much better than most potato varieties, are very nutritious, easy storage, endless supply, good for livestock feed & "firewood" mature dry stalks, high in protein, but you just have to prepare them properly. They will be worth more than gold in a true emergency. Goats too, which are easier to manage than cows, and less loss if one dies. Faster reproduction and can survive on pasture/wooded land/swamp edges that cows cannot thrive on or even survive. Safer to handle, and they are so loyal too, Follow you for miles on goat hikes if you want to go more than a mile. We usually do between 1-2, but I'm going to get permission from neighbors to do longer hikes & free food foraging of unwanted underbrush which increases safety from forest fires.

Liver and many cuts of lamb and bison are solid sources of copper. To Many lamb and bison tend to be raised on pastures.

I remember when I was a little girl, I use to see the older people with a copper bracelet on and they said it was to keep cramping in the body away don't know it that's the same. God Bless y'all

A carnivore hack that I just recently discovered is that if you buy top sirloin which is really cheap and a meat tenderizer and beat the thing up on both sides it comes out really easy to eat and really good, try it out guys this is revolutionary to me lol

I have Wilson's Disease, my body doesn't process copper. Carnivore diet is fine for me, you don't have to be afraid of copper in your diet unless you're sucking down oysters and liver for breakfast lunch and dinner. If you're still afraid of it take a zinc supplement.

I was copper deficient - causing anaemia due to poor iron transport and poor iron absorption from lack of copper and histamine intolerance before carnivore as a result. I was advised by my functional Nutritionist to eat a red meat based and 50g a day of grass fed Lamb or beef liver or other ruminant liver are the only good sources of copper. If you have a deficiency you need a high dose of that nutrient to restore it, not just the rda otherwise you will not provide enough for daily bodily function AND resolving the deficiency. NOTE - carnivore is also high zinc so this can prevent absorption of copper. i imprived a lot on carnivore, but didn't actually resolve the histamine intolerance until I started taking 6mg of copper glycinate AS WELL as 50g of lamb or beef liver.

I take Swansons copper supplement 2mg daily at a different meal than the zinc picolinate I take daily for immune system and psoriasis.

You can get like 95% of what your body needs from just eating red meat. Just add some liver, eggs, fish, and other varied meat once in a while and you have all you need.
