16 to ride a scooter, so 16 to buy fuel, I'd imagine. I remember when i couldn't fit the minimum amount of £5 in my scooter fuel tank, back in 2005 it was that much cheaper. Got hassle for that a few times...

UK laws are weird. Law states that you have to be 16 to use a petrol pump, but 17 to drive a car. When I first passed my test over here, I got ID’d an obscene amount of times, despite obviously being of age, since I’m driving
