Imagine if Kara and Connor actually talked in On The Run chapter, she'd plead her case and could convince him to let them go like he did with Tracies later on. Kara's situation is easily more justifiable and sympathetic one. But oh well, it was truly great and dramatic chapter as is, I just wished Kara and Connor had an actual conversation at least once throughout the game.

On the other hand, they probably didnt do it coz Kara would turn Connor deviant right away like what we have in this video:3

God, I love Detroit and specifically Kara's story. Connor and Markus are cool and all but Kara got me by the feels, the kind that I've never imagined a fictional character to be able to inflict on me. And to think that I was completely oblivious and ignorant of it all, discovering Detroit only about a month ago. Now I'm completely obsessed and overcome with just how incredible of an experience it is, everything else fades into obscurity in comparison.

This should have been a choice in the game, like kara actually gets captured and we played as both Kara and Connor in the interrogation, Kara's mission is to escape and find Alice, while Connor has to find the reason for deviancy, and instead of going to zlatko we have to deal with police and the entire story changes very early in the game, this could lead into kara either helping Connor in his mission or helping Markus in Jericho or becoming someone who could bridge them both together and make Connor a deviant.
By the way if this was to happen Connor would have become a deviant halfway through the game and not because of Markus but because of kara and alice.
About Connara ship, I like but I'm not interested in it, because at the end of the day Kara became a mother because it was her programming, Luther became a guardian because it was his programming, Connor will remain like a friendly neighborhood detective because it was his programming. They are all in a way behaving like that because they were programmed to, they just developed feelings and emotions and acted the way they did, but for them to really become human they have to Break the program and find a purpose for themselves, Kara will never be attracted towards Connor because she does not work that way, while Connor might possibly be able to develop feelings for her because he was programmed to learn from humans and adapt from them, so it is a possibility from Connor's side. For Kara to fall in love with him it would need a little reprogramming to learn and adapt, but it would still be a problem because Connor really put their lives in danger and a mother will never forget or forgive that behavior, Connor would have to redeem himself for her, which can make a beautiful love story.
