This scene is actually so underrated, they show that the difference between a human and these androids is a "soul" something that most humans think they have but isnt anything physical or provable. The "soul" is an arbitrary value that humans assigned to themselves. They dont say that they aren't alive or that they dont have emotions, because they have both. This game and its themes especially were really good.
