About 80 percent of our local elders just left the city and moved to a safer place, leaving their sheep here. While all other churches help people, especially refugees, providing shelter and food for them.

Some people may find this conduct hard to believe of Jehovah's Witnesses, but l can recount an actual experience that happened to me whilst l was an attendant at the Rochdale Castlemere congregation. A man who l can only describe as "down on his luck" entered the Kingdom Hall (my daughter made mention of him because he was wearing no socks. He came into the main hall and seated himself between myself and an elder. His words to the elder were "Can l get some food here?" The elder's rather terse reply was "We don't do things like that here". But why??? I thought we were all God, s children.
