Gov. Gavin Newsom signs law to raise California minimum wage for fast food workers to $20 per hour

California fast food workers will be paid at least $20 per hour next year under a new law signed Thursday by Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom.

We are going to see the end of fast food chains in most cities through out California. Either that or they will automate everything in the restaurant.

It’s still minimum wage with how expensive things are in California, this increase will just raise expenses which is ridiculous. Instead make rent more affordable, drop gas prices

Very poor public policy to jigger minimum wage rates on an industry-specific basis. The long term effect will be fast food outlet closures and increased automation in those that remain. That means loss of jobs - all in the pursuit of vote-buying by Newsom et. al.

sorry to say but NOT a win at all...16.60 per hour at 30 hrs a week is $498..so NOW $20 an hr for 30 hirs is $600..uhh just to let you know, business dont HAVE TO GIVE WORKERS 30 hrs..NOw they will get 10 hrs a week. so making LESS than they were.
