For the last couple of years, the stage has slowly been set for a world filled with more than one mainstream, quality, Pro Wrestling video game and after all this time patiently waiting, 2023 looks to be the year that finally delivers on this promise!

Aside from WWE 2K23 and AEW, I'm very intrigued to see how the Wrestling Code plays out. They have something we haven't in a longtime and that's being universally diverse from the ground up. I believe this game has potential. Plus the promises the game is offering is awesome from possibly many match types we couldn't get in WWE games. Plus the fact it's a service game meaning it'll continually have constant updates without having to make a new game which is unheard of.

All I want is a remake of those WWF No Mercy/WCW VS NWO World Tour and WWE Smackdown Here Comes the Pain featuring 1980s and 1990s stars with WCW, AWA, ECW, World Class Championship Wrestling Arenas/rings

I’m gonna get WWE 2K23 and MAYBE AEW if it’s free on PS Plus at some point, but The Wrestling Code is what I’m really looking forward to.

I don't think I've ever been so excited about a wrestling game more than I am for AEW's first video game! It plays just like the old school WWF No Mercy title, and that was my favorite game! Wrestling Code looks really cool too, but it's not about the graphics.... but is it fun to play?

I'm interesting in all of these. I've had Fight Forever pre-ordered since August and that's my most anticipated. WWE 2K22 was a big deal as I was very close to never buying another WWE game again, but it set a new standard and I'm pretty excited for 2K23 (minus how much bigger MyFaction is unfortunately going to become). Wrestle Quest will be a nice change of pace. The Wrestling Code looks awesome, but as a console gamer I'm likely not looking at that one until 2024 anyways. And UVW looks great too...I'm just hoping it's not PC only, that one is the wild card right now.

There will be Ultra Pro Wrestling, by an independent team, Hyper Focus Games. They are ressurecting the AKI engine (No Mercy-Virtual Pro Wrestling 2), and they plan to release it somewhere in 2023 on PC & actual consoles. Would be interesting because they follow the same retro wrestling game trend like Retrosoft with their Retromania Wrestling game (based on WWF Wrestlefest arcade game), it's always a great welcome to consoles' online shops, as non-WWE alternative wrestling games (I hate WWE games since the 2K series)

I’m really excited for The Wrestling Code. That game does not get enough attention and excitement. While Virtual Basement have made multiple videos showing off a few it’s characters, what I am really wanting to see at this point are the features said to be included including the creation suite. AEW and Ultra Violence are the other two I am excited for, but both are going through developmental issues.
