If someone get's their hands around you from behind they probably love you and misses you. GIve them some slack.

If you dont practice this, full force several times you won't be ready to use it.
The technique is effective, but you need to practice it a few times with someone bigger and stronger than you, going 100%

The odds of someone watching this being able to break the attackers grip is slim to none. Like a previous comment stated is a straight back take. IMO in my bjj and limited aikido experience stomp on a foot. Grab a leg in between yours and run. In a bjj match sit and turn in to half guard.

This makes complete sense. Some martial arts schools will teach that elbow strike. That technique might actually have been my go-to. I see now how that could work in the assailant's favor.

This is a scenario I've always been comfortable with, when people tried this to do, because I'm 6'4 and heavy. SO FAR I've never had anyone who can lift me. But this is very good to know. Cheers, buddy.

One other thing, as you push away dig your thumb into the muscle between their thumb and forefinger. It hurts like hell and weakens their grip.

On the turn around, if you time it well; you can also swing arm hard downwards towards their forearm and get the op to expose their side for either arm control, or a takedown. Also turning your hip into the grip is a good one for strong ops

pull on their thumb..mostly likely the attacker is not using the right grip..
or
use a kimora lock to break their grip..slide right hand underneath their arm and grap your left wrist while left hand grips their wrist..and proceed with movement. hooking your heal around their ankle helps from them picking you up easily...if you can grab their ankle by leaning over after hooking their ankle...pull up and they will fall back.

Was always taught to use the hip like a knife to cut through the grip
