I spent decades numb before a screen of some sort. Beer in hand. O cruel fate .. the time I could have spent reading, thinking, practicing, and learning. It equates to minutes, hours, days, years of lost life. If you are young, think carefully about what you are doing. don't put it off because life seems long. It is, but it only moves in one direction. Do not get "old" and experience the terror of realizing how much of your life you chose to waste. You never get that time back, you'll not have a "second chance" to do things differently. While this may be an obvious statement to make, no horror compares to the agony and sense of doom when you wake up and see your time left can be measured in dog years, and too much of life has been flitted away. I could have been working! ANYTHING! But Time is not just about money .. and Time is not just to be "enjoyed." It is to be wisely invested. If done well, you will have both.

I am so happy to see someone finally talking about this.

It's believed that the paradox happened around 2012. Which is where more than 50% of Internet users are bots. At that time, it was at 60% of all users were bots.

I can't imagine how many bots are online now. The department of defense has around thirty million bots. And won't discuss the purpose of them.
But I saw what the purpose of them was when they started talking about the Russian Ukrainian situation.

And remember. Just because an account has a photo of a person, doesn't mean that person is real. AI is really good at creating photos of people.

Getting rid of all social media is what’s been redeeming to my self respect Instagram was the last straw. Grimey lies usurping my attention. Hope this platform doesn’t gross me out ever and turn to dust.

We need to create a value system that goes beyond greed hatred and delusion to where when we sense sway in that direction, we make the loss of greed, hatred and ignorance a focal point for our attention. So this this way we will rewrite the algorythms collectively to meet human suffering with awareness and kindness. And if we have a practice where we conciously and calmly put down these machines when we sense this. And even before using these devices, note that we may not accomplish anything in the way we set out to.

There was a really good video about dead internet theory awhile back. You briefly brushed on the subject of how the internet really isnt what it used to be.

Back when internet was small like in the early 2000s it felt more community driven there for it mostly was just everyday people making small community driven websites for an small topic they may have personally enjoyed heck even youtube when it first started it truly felt like the founders liked what they had made as well as the users on the site and for it had much more closer community of people who just loved making stuff for fun rather then just for money even if that may had been a thought at the time it was not as possibility at that time. Much like we are products of environment and people who impact us for better or worst. so to is the internet so why did the internet change well because its environment changed and why because the people who had the biggest impact on it change with it for better and for worst. So most of the online interment changed as result of changing times in ever changing world out side of it for better and for worst witch ever comes first would have a impact on its said interment for better and for the worst same thing with the said technologic bodes that host the said interment them being computers and so forth. So is it any surprise it has changed given how much stuff has been changing around it and its said environment?

Very interesting…so many if not most of the things on the internet are brought, recycled, and resell. With AI, it’s even more difficult to figure out what fake is fake and how fake is the fake. The line between real life and online life becomes even more blurred than ever as more time spending on the internet. Between, I absolutely love your accent. 🤣 humanness is going to be forgotten do you think? Humans don’t know how to be humans anymore kind of things??
