There really needs to be more videos like this out there for people trying to filter out the nasties while 3D printing, good stuff man! Really enjoyed the content!

Very likely your bag of carbon pellets is not acid free activated carbon. Caution, when used in a heated chamber to circulate the air, this will rust all bolts and linear rails in your printer !

I really wonder how good that activated Carbon is to use as its made to be used underwater.

Hello, it's not bad at all and much more economical. Could you please add a link to the fan?

Great video! What I would have liked to see is the TVOC without any filtering system. Trying to plan for a filtering system myself. It would be for a resin printer though.

Did you do the test with the activated charcoal still wet or did you let it dry before ?

Do you have the individual stl files? I didn’t see the carbon pellet holder on the printable files. Interested in making one myself.

Way too much 3d but way too little statistics. At the time code 6:08 in your Excel, you show the raw data. There seems no direct dependency between printtype and starting/ending TVOC. A consideration of cost per TVOC isn't an interesting factor if I like my health. A better evaluation is, how long must the DIY product work (longer or shorter) to have the same effect, and is ist able to beat the purchased product in a long term. When the degradation of the system beginn in comparison to the buyed one (better/worse) ...
These are the really interesting questions - but just my 5ct.
DIY would always be cheaper if you find the right numbers ;-) (always take statistics with a grain of salt) But nevertheless a cool project with a huge potential to the top.

Ah, I wanted to make my own but your files are kinda weird. Why didn't you make the separate files or make everything laid out on plates in Bambu Studio. I need to modify it to attach to a duct anyway, I guess I can design my own. Thanks for the inspiration!

How long would you say this lasts before needing to replace the filter and pellets

Have you tried adding the carbon bags into the store bought purifier?

Awesome idea. Unfortunately your VOC meter is a chinese fake. While the sensors appear to work they aren't reading the air quality. From memory they use an alcohol sensor instead of a VOC.

the carbon should have been before the hepa
