In my opinion the chefs who didnt get a point should also be cooking for their lives.

This twist is one of the strangest in Hell's Kitchen. Abe gets to be safe despite putting up a losing dish, Sommer gets to automatically advance to the next round since she couldn't drop her dish, and Alex is at risk of getting eliminated. I'm not sure why they couldn't just vote on the CFYL nominees like other seasons.

I wonder if Shaina will be the special guest judge for this, afterall, she is the greatest chicken chef in Hell's Kitchen history

I can't help but think that polenta might send Alejandro home

I’d say the men who had to compete Alex Vlad and Alejandro were better than the other three Brett Abe and Sakkari who got to sit out

I still refuse to count this as a nomination (especially for Alex), the criteria is complete and utter BS. I hate when Gordon bases CFYL on which chef has to drop out of the challenge/leaves the kitchen first, it's extremely unfair when someone has to do it.

Just stick to group consensus deciding who are the weakest.

Shaina, get up there! It's chicken o'clock!

There doesn’t seem to be much consistency with who participates in this challenge, is there?
Some seasons, the chefs rank their teammates, and those who are voted lowest participate.
Some seasons (like All-Stars) have that relay challenge where one chef leaves the kitchen after a certain amount of time, and the last chefs standing have to pick the ones to be in the bottom.
Rookies Vs. Veterans also had the relay challenge, and the first ones to dip out of the kitchen or who volunteered to sit out to even the numbers were automatically in the bottom.
Season 23 had those with the overall weakest dishes in the challenge be in the bottom and participate.
And now, those whose dishes were not put up for tasting were automatically in the bottom.
Guess it adds some variety? Also proves why they should probably make CFYL a comeback challenge (which HK has never done before) instead of an elimination challenge.

And Alex is the first winner to go through that challenge.

They can’t decide whether to pronounce Tara’s name as Tah-Ra or Tear-A

This is not really wise.. In the future no contestant will agree to drop their dish and will argue to put it up no matter what (pushing not for the best dish, but just for ~their~ dish, if they know that otherwise they`ll be up for elimination

Spoiler alert;

Alex(S21) would be the only chef to this day who not only compete and survive the CFYL challenge but win his season too.
