This tutorial shows you how to expand and collapse body text in a document to hide body text that might be taking up to much space on your page. It is a nice way to quickly view and organize long documents. It is best to view the navigation pane while doing this, as you can quickly see where you're moving sections and what your headings and subheadings are. This tutorial is intended for beginners who want to learn more about MS Word 2016 and Microsoft Office 365 in general. Thank you for watching.

The video doe not show how to create the headings. It shows how to click the arrows once the headings are already created, which is obvious extremely easy to do, you don´t need help. Would have been helpful to show how to create the headings that can be minimized and maximized.

Hi, is it possible to change the icon used from an arrow to a "+"? Also is there a way to make that icon larger?

Hello and thank you for a useful video!
I have Word 2016, I have formatted the headings to 1, 2, 3 styles (they show up in the Navigation Pane). However, I don't have those small arrows next to the headings that enables me to collapse and expand. I cannot find a way to turn it on. Do you know how to do that?

Many thanks,
Elisabeth

Is this automatically setup once I use Heading 1, 2, etc, or is this something I have to explicitly setup beforehand? It would have been a little helpful if this was mentioned in the video or notes. Thanks!

I'm creating procedures for a process and would like to add screenshots. Since not everyone wants/needs them, I want to be able to collapse just the screenshots and always leave the text. I've played around a bit after watching your super helpful video, but when I collapse all, it collapses the text too. I would love your feedback on how to make my document the best it can be!! Thanks!!

Im MS Word, I need help please😊. I made an invoice using a table for data entry. I need to expand dropdown list answers vertically. I have 2 drop down list (one is a regular drop down list), and the second drop-down is a dependent drop-down list. Both drop list contain long selections. There's no way around the long selections, it's needed. How can I get it to word wrap in the cell in my table? The margins are set for each cell. I tried also by selecting the table word wrap under table options. Frustrated. Thanks, Jyng

Hey Professor Adam
I would like to remove those Carrots Arrows whatever they are called? Also, will they affect the Applicant Tracking System?
Personal I say yes but do not know...I am thinking if words are not shown ATS will not detect keywords on a resume.

Thank You for doing the Tutorial

Have a Great Year
