Amazing explanation. Every SPX trade I’ve entered, I usually am right up until the point the trade begins to stall. Unfortunately I have made the mistake of hoping to close with a cash settlement instead of closing the trade. My risk of capital and measure Risk/Reward becomes skewed when I hold out in hopes of cash settlement. Great video.

Wow! What a killer explanation from start to finish!

I am pretty cautious of long volatility trades, especially 0 DTE -- not just due to fast decay but also highly arbitrary decay during the session (the decay appears to be jagged and "stepwise").

Also you should be able to "close" a long call vertical -- without a day trade -- by buying the corresponding put vertical to make a box (idea came from tasty). ...Or even selling a call vertical, creating a butterfly/condor to "freeze" much of the risk in the winning long vertical. Or if you are okay with the day trade, I'm sure some traders will buy back the short to leave just a lotto.

When you say cash settle, do you mean allowing to option to expire when you are ITM (as opposed to selling the option back to the market before expiration)?

I like SPX BUTTERFLY same day strategy, many times i was able to successfully pin it at the center strike, but not good rate overall. What do you recommend for set up in last 30 mins? indicators qnd Chart set up? Appreciate your inputs
