For anyone wondering why 1/2 looks better on them People who *naturally* have legs that are 2/3rds of their body will probably gravitate to the 1/2 outfit. Because the 1/3rd outfit would take you out of proportion. Your legs would make up more than 2/3rds of your body, your top half would look even smaller and you'll look like you're a head on legs.

I actually hate the 1/3 top look lol. I always did it and could never figure out why my look didn’t look how I imagined it. I switched to 1/2 and it works great.

I prefer 1/2, I think 1/3 looks better currently because cropped things are trendy but it kind of makes your legs look way too long, gives Gru from Despicable Me vibes

This is good if you’re on the shorter side or just want a certain kind of aesthetic to your fit. Like he says, its a rule that can be broken, but it doesn’t have to be a rule at all. For my tall folks out there, take advantage of those long legs of yours and wear whatever you like without worrying about this.
