I think a lot of current country rap, even with independent artists, with increasing budget and drama it loses what it was truly about. I wasn't about egos, or who can be the most anti-mainstream. I know all of that is typical of rap music, but, I feel like that takes the country out of the rap. Country music is about a collective identity not about what just one guy thinks of himself.
I think this was the golden era of Country Rap. Low budget, no fame, no drama, just straight down home facts.
