In my experience the Wearingeul Hades is as well a very dark black (with blue glitter). I‘ve ordered the TWSBI Black and the Wearingeul and will make the comparison.

Agree there needs to be part 2! I think Noodler’s X Feather is the blackest black ink I have and is darker than de atramentis document black.

When I first saw this video's description I was just curious about the ink and the process to find the blackest one, but was way different than I thought, which is good, having a new perspective always gives you something new to learn, however I was expecting to have a more real life comparison between them, like by drawing some lines with bold fountain pens or even a Pilot Parallel pen for even bolder lines on special paper, this comparison was more like a watercolor testing of inks with gradients, a totally valid test whatsoever but it makes more sense if we are using the inks with a brush rather than a fountain pen... I guess you guys get the point now. Anyways great and informative video, definetely would try to test some black inks by myself since I am pretty sure the colors on video are nowhere as close as i real life and that's the reason some of us cannot understand the final scores.

Graf von Faber-Castell Carbon Black is my blackest non pigmented (afaik) ink.
Anyway, thank you!

De Atramentis Document black was recommended to me by Brian K and I could not be happier with it! Will always be my only black. ❤

So, I saw another video where black inks were being compared with a scanner and a program to analyze color to determine blackness. On that one the top black was Noodler's Polar Black apparently (I think second was Mont Blanc Permanent Black). But I don't think they tested Chou Kuro, so that could still easily be the blackest. I checked Polar Black against lots of other blacks myself for a visual inspection (including most of the ones you showed here, I think) and sure enough, Polar Black looked the darkest. Now I want to get Chou Kuro.

My own favorite black ink is Rohrer & Klingner’s black sketch ink. It’s been great in a variety of pens and is priced very well. Good for TWSBI, though!

TWSBi Black is a very recent discovery for me as I was using up the cartridge that came with the Swipe. I was also surprised by the saturation and i really like that it is leaning a bit reddish. considering to get a bottle because while i have Pilot Black, Platinum Black and Kohinoor Black, TWSBi somehow made a happy shade of black! fingers crossed it won't sell out or increase prices after this video 😂

I'm liking the noodler's black. Permanent neutral black that is not a pigment.

Just ordered the new TWSBI ECO-T in Eggplant, along with some TWSBI Black ink cartridges. I’ve been avoiding the Chou Kuro and Carbon Black even though I like their deep darkness, because of the potential cleaning involved. But the TWSBI Black looks like a promising contender with less of an issue in more difficult-to-clean pens. (Hello, button pistons, I like you, but SO FUSSY.) 👍🏻

to me, the twsbi ink looks like the infrared-transparent black plastic used on remotes to cover the LED.

While Obsidian shades blue, Twsbi shades purple and to my eyes, Noodlers is more actual black. I would have put it second to Chou kuro.

Noodles black actually looks darker than twsbi black for me.

I see these samples completely differently. I mean ... TWSBI Black is ... brown! ^^

Drew, next time write the name on the card first, then swab.

TWSBI looks purply to me, not sure if that's color correction from editing and posting the camera though.
