Super Soco's range of small electric scooters and motorcycles have proved hugely popular in recent years, so we hit town with the 125cc equivalent TC Max to see if it truly does provide a practical alternative in the A1/learner bike market.

Thank you to @wheels-motorcycles for the loan of our test bike.

Please don't blast the music up to 200% compared to your speaking volume. It can be jarring. But good video otherwise, thanks for the review. Cool bike

The bike does not get shipped with Michelin Pilot tyres - only the press bikes have them. The retail bike comes with Chinese unbranded rubber that is OK, but not as good as the Michelins. The range is 40miles in most conditions. It is a great little commuter though.

Great review. Interested in buying this now as second hand they're even more affordable now.

I got to ride the scooter version of one of these on my cbt it was great. Quick off the line if you’re not expecting it. Im Looking at going to a bike like this something to swing my leg over, rather then the step through design of a scooter which was more practical last year but now no longer is as I’m doing longer rides/ commutes but I’d need to think about the electric cost for charging but I doubt it would be much, possibly similar to what I pay for fuel for my bike at the moment. I’ve always love the look of some electric bike especially when they look like a normal petrol bike.

White labelled Chinese bike. They call this Revolt in India. I would suggest you to look out for Ultraviolette F77, truly challenging IC engine bikes.

Looks great but I wish the price wasn’t so high if it was more on the line of £3000 would definitely pick one up but for now I’ll have to wait a couple of years for the technology to get cheaper

Okay ish prices. But really need 72v and a tad more AH batties. If I really wanted to I could make an ebike for the same price or less and I could do some real distance. And yes in the USA there ebikes way better then this.

The bike comes with a cheap slow charger, it takes 8+ hours from 5% to 100% and the charger is not compatible with other voltages then the standard voltage in your country.
For example i live in Colombia and if i would cross the border to Brasil the charger would burn out because they use 220 Volts and Colombia uses 110 volts.
The battery costs $1000 (in Colombia) if you need a new one or a spare.
It would make more sense to buy a 2nd battery as the fast charger costs half the price of a new battery. Unless you are planning to do road trips 8+ hours charge will be way to slow during your stops.
The chassis is badly painted, expect lots of corrosion.
The battery pack wears fast and has a high chance of defects as it is made with cheap 18650 cells, especially if you live in warmer countries.
The pack is made out of 18650 cells if you know how how you could fix the pack by replacing the defect ones but it is a painstaking job (assuming the charge controller is not the culprit)
