Reflection on COVID-19

I stopped by Old Mill Road Recording last night to record this short reflection on COVID-19. Let’s all remember to work together – now and in the future.

If there’s anything I’ve learned in Recovery,
it’s that we’re better-off facing our troubles together… than we are alone.

Courage comes from overcoming fear that burns inside us.
The challenges we go through are the things that will unite us.
At crucial points in history, our fate has been decided.
When we rise up to a challenge, we face it and we fight it.
The same way I’ve seen addicts help each other through addiction,
I’ve seen people come together with resolve and with conviction,
decisively committed with inspiring volition
in our battle with this virulent and frightening condition. 

So - if we’re truly careful, considerate, and cautious -
and we're purposeful, persistent, patient, reasonable, and honest,
we can solve this deadly virus AND the drug addiction crisis,

‘Cause the power of compassionate intent is truly priceless.
