Estranger // Animation Meme

Animation debut of North! I made her in January last year and she's been my favourite character to draw since. Her story is a project very dear to my heart, the thing I've been most excited about writing since Fox Fires, so I don't want to give away too much, but I will say it's based in the Scottish highlands, a fair few centuries back before the Lynx went extinct. North is the protagonist. The rest, I'll drop clues about in future memes!

It's not based on Shelter 2! I'm fine with people saying it reminds them of it but please stop calling her a Shelter OC or saying it was my inspiration, neither of those things are true. ^^ Those comments feel a little ignorant as Shelter has stylised/minimalist symbols whereas the one shown here is an actual rune. Also the symbol at the end is my signature and has been for very many years, also inspired by Nordic runes. I adore Shelter and Might & Delight, but I'm more influenced by my culture and the cultures and lore of my neighbouring countries than by any one existing piece of work. Again, saying it reminds you of it is completely fine - just not insisting it was my inspiration when I know it wasn't, and North's story couldn't be more different, as you will see. 😅 Thank you for reading!
