+Andreas Toro you will need to check the Firmware version on your camera and compare to the latest version on Nikon's website. If the numbers match you have the latest version if not you can update it.

So can you update the firmware from a 1.2 to a 1.4? Probably a stupid question but I thought I’d ask. Also what does formatting an SD card do? I’m new to this and learning as I go I’m sorry. Thanks in advance!
