Its been almost 10 years since i was put in prison.... i had to serve 2 years in federal prison for a dumb mistake i made when i was 18 years old.... we had radios in there and the only channels you could pick up were the country music stations.... this song came on every single day... brought a tear to my eye every how i missed home... missed my family... missed my girlfriend.... it was the worst experience in my life... but this song helped me through every day.... im proud to say ive never been back... i have a excellent job and a wonderful baby boy.... Thanks Blake Shelton for this wonderful song... it helped me realize what i left behind and what i will never leave behind again!

Was raised on a 3rd generation family farm.
We got up before the sun and the roosters and went to bed at 830 pm. We worked hard everyday before and after school and on sat. Went to church on Sunday and had the afternoon off to do homework. Before the week started again.
No family vacations maybe if we were lucky we got to ride the horses over to a county lake and play in the water for the day on a slow sat.
I remember getting out of school in the fall at lunch so we could help with harvest. The grain trucks lined uped going out of town for 6 or 7 miles in the morning to empty their grain at the elevator in our little town population 207.
Some may memories. My brother, his son and grandson are farming the family farm.
We worked hard, played hard and loved hard. I wouldnt trade my childhood for anything

I am so happy my Mom still remembers when Blake Shelton was on La Grange, Indiana when he was just starting out. They stopped at the gas station she was working in to get drinks and snacks. Blake was short change. Mom offered to go ahead and make it up. Blake said no he would go out to the bus and get the change. So when he sent on of the guys in with the change he had autographed a picture for her. Mom still remembers the red sparking outfit he had on. Mom is im the nursing home now. We can't find the picture with the autograph. But Mom said Blake was very kind. Thank you Blake for just being YOU. EVERYTIME MOM SEES YOU ON TV SHE TALKS ABOUT THAT MEETING.GOD BLESS YOU BLAKE.

This song was played at least once a day on Armed Forces Radio in Afghanistan during my 3 year venture. Whenever played, every ear (and conversation) stopped...you could read the emotions in every face - Military and Civilians.
