President Biden and former President Donald Trump were both investigated over their handling of classified documents, but only one of them has been charged. Unlike Trump, who faces felony charges for mishandling sensitive materials retrieved at his Mar-a-Lago property, a Special Counsel decided criminal charges for Biden weren’t warranted.

WSJ’s Aruna Viswanatha explains the differences between the two cases.

This report didn't mention he also took classified documents from the time he was a senator which is clearly a crime.

Former CIA Director (resigned) and retired General David Petraeus was fined $100, 000 and placed on two years probation for the unauthorized removal and retention of classified material which he shared with his biographer/lover Paula Broadwell. Under a plea agreement he avoided prison time.

One was President, the other not, huge difference for possession of classified documents. Like legal immigration and illegal immigration, the difference goes beyond the simple liberal mind to understand.

Strange how you’re comparing the president’s authority with a senator’s and VP’s authority to obtain and retain any of his classified material, the Presidential records act does not include a senators or VP.

One was a president and the other a senator/VP. One kept the records for a very long time and the other a short time. Why was one on the radar and the other not? Seems like a set up.

The President can declassify and retain any document .V.P., Senator or Secretary of State have no such authority to even take documents which is illegal .

Is the message telling us that when we commit a crime, the factor that determines whether or not we will be held accountable for the crime committed is all about how we respond when we find out we got caught? Cause I always thought punishment was all about being guilty or not guilty. I never imagined I could get away with something as long as I looked cute and acted polite. ...
What is it that I don't understand? I want this to make sense and it doesn't completely make sense to me yet

they are warranted, what 46 did is criminal, but to old to prosecute. 45 security blocked agents from entering without proper paper work, trying to just flash a badge. I would say the compound was secure.Laws work for the people.
