Also the prices charged they could easily afford to make things in the USA/Europe.
The "Bootlegs" are often the same sweatshops just making more of the same to sell.


Furthermore, the "Savings" of children working in ramshackle factories that could collapse or burn any week (take that 'socialist' USA) are often more than made up for by local officials demanding bribes regularly - then they use Tax Breaks and Subsidies - "Hallp me, USA! Ah needz mah Corporate Welfare check or the great gran'kids cain't be bailed out when they playz Jack the Ripper..."

The modern Globalist Economy is a False Economy. Equivalent to someone who owns a mansion by the artificial lake created by a big Dam deciding to have his Smithers rappel down the side and punch a small hole in it so he can power a cheap inefficient paddle wheel generator and get "Free" power. Yes, many comparisons to water are made to currency and electricity. Of course doing this costs the real generator 9 parts of power for every 1 'free' parts and -obviously- its not a good idea to do that to a Dam. I'm no professional engineer, but I think I can safely say that. The real achievement is that they do this - figuratively - but are not prosecuted for fraud and theft and put in jail - or a nuthouse.
