What Do Ogerpon’s Masks Do and Which Mask is the Best?

I have a feeling that Ogerpon's Terastalizing Ability would change into move in Gen 10, just like how Clangorous Soul was changed into a move for Kommo-o in Gen 8

And to counter it in that final boss battle against it, I would say that Kommo-o is your best friend as it counters all 4 of its tera types, as well as slam & low kick. With his 4th move being grassy terraign which just helps you.

though I can see her being used for a surf focused rain team

Well they did mention the gen 5 region a lot and did say that this energy was found there too
so maybe we will still be able to terastalise, but just won't find any wild tera mons or raids

I wonder if we will get the Pokemon that inspired the masks. Maybe as a Legendary Quartet in gen 10 or maybe the water, fire and grass masks are actually based on the final evolutions for the starters of gen 10

Rock is my favorite, it has the best ability in my opinion and there isn't much good rock times in game so people aren't really ready for it.

I'd say rock mask is underrated comma as there is no physical rock move with a hundred percent accuracy

DUDE, cornerstone is HEAVILY underrated. Sturdy helps survive a water urshifu close combat, and still get a grass type stab move on it, likely killing urshifu if it is not holdong a focus sash. When you know something won't kill you at full hp, you can terastalize and it likely won't kill you because of the defense buff. Cornerstone also almost completely counters hearthflame with its typing and sturdy ability. Cornerstone grants great defensive capabilities that other forms just simply cannot. However teal mask is also a good option because it can hold items like choice band/scarf. My point is that cornerstone should be used way more oftenly and not be so underestimated as the worst form, which I think is the water one because not many mons use sp.def, and can die to almost any other offensive mons.

The fire mask is definitely the best. Think about it. Normally ogerpon’s Ivy cudgel is 100 base power. Then you add in STAB which makes it essentially 150. Then you terrastalize it and give it double stab so that’s 100x(1.5x1.5) which is 225 base power. THEN on top of that it gets a 1.5x attack boost which makes it 337.5 base power. THEN you add the 1.2x attack boost (which teal mask doesn’t give), which gives us a grand total of what is essentially a 405 BP move. Pair that with swords dance and 350 speed, and you have a Pokémon that’s… oh wait it’s already banned.
