I guess Team USA playing the long game here. He's 16 so will be feasibly be able to compete and medal at 20, 24, 28, 32 and 36...in addition to here. That's 6 separate Olympics. I think that's unprecedented and a consequence of the new rules on heat-only relay runners medal rights.

Wow, I was on the streets at 16. Pretty sure thats why im a helicopter mom and my husband works at my kids school so even better on my conscience.

Hope this kid realizes how lucky he is and even if his teammates don't choose him again because he came in short he's still growing 💗

Nah, his leg was slow. Almost cost the qualification. Other runners had to dig deep to get that qualifying spot. It was a gamble. And if it had failed, it would have been a horror story for the kid. Very hard to move beyond something like that. Happy for him, the team and us that they qualified. But it would have been better if he was just an alternate with a front row seat.

I would have to think steroids were involved. You do not run a full 3 seconds slower than your best time if all is equal on the biggest stage. Something is going on.

I must’ve been watching something different than the rest of the people with eye balls…great and a wonderful feat he’s the youngest to run in the Olympics but bro was running like he had aching feet *no hate* 16 in the Olympics I’m looking for a serious standout…I’ve got lil bad a**cousins that run from a belt faster than him ijs 🤷🏾‍♂️

Now the media has another person to hype up before the LA games , can he handle the pressure is the question.

Btw the men dropped the ball again in the 4x400 .

He almost messed up the chances of US winning. It's true he is very young but my feeling us he didn't calculate his lap.

He did well. Anyways I'd rather invest in crypto than running down that track. Crypto is the future.
