Welcome to Poland everybody! This is our first experience here in this country and we are going to spend 48 hours in Warsaw to kick off this series.

After a few delays we finally arrived in Warsaw, so we checked into our hotel and headed out to the old town to get some Polish dumplings and traditional polish potatoe pancakes to end our first night.

The next day we headed out into the old town and saw
- Old Town Square
- Warsaw Castle
- University Campus of Warsaw library viewpoint

We then went up the bell tower in castle square which is a great view point to see the city. For lunch we headed out to the Koszyki Covered Market.

In the afternoon we headed out to The largest park in Warsaw Lazienki Krolewskie and went on a little water gondola ride.

To end our time in Warsaw we went out to the Nocny markets.

Japan loves Poland. Poland is a beautiful country. Japan has played Chopin songs for over 100 years. Poland is great. In 1920 and 1922, Japan rescued 765 Polish orphans in Siberia. Poland asked Japan to rescue a Polish orphan in Siberia. Japan promised to rescue immediately.
The smallest orphaned child was 2 years old. The child was crying near the dead mother. The Japanese rescued the orphan immediately. The child told the dead mother "Goodbye Mom". Japan rescued a total of 765 Polish orphans.Japan sent orphans to Japan for treatment.Orphans ate delicious and warm meals every day. All Polish orphans have recovered. Almost all Japanese donated money to save orphans. On the day of return, all 765 Polish orphans returned to Poland safely.
In 2018, an elementary school commemorating this was completed in Warsaw. Japan loves Poland. God bless Poland.

I am from England but am funnily enough moving to Warsaw to start my journey teaching English as a foreign language in just a couple of weeks. This video came out at literally the perfect time!

The story of how the Poles restored Warsaw after the Nazis flattened it is amazing. Using historic paintings, drawings, photographs, and tiny fragments saved from the ruins and secretly stashed away in underground archives, they had a pretty good idea of what the place had looked like. So they started the enormous effort of been there, so you can see what a brilliant job they did. Not only Warsaw, but Wrocław, Gdańsk, parts of Poznań and other Polish cities were similarly restored. The only major city not to have been virtually flattened was Kraków. My girlfriend is Polish, so we often visit Poland and she sometimes buys a type of cream cheese only available there to make delicious Polish cheesecake. Our German friends think it's wonderful, too! Thanks for the video (and the Romanian series) - looking forward to more! Cheers, Keith (Brit in Berlin).
