Great to hear this song!!!! I was raised in the 1960s and we knew my mother was "eccentric and nervous" but I didn't realize she was bipolar until I became a nurse. We just didn't t talk about that kind of stuff unless there was a major breakdown with a hospital stay and official diagnosis. My mother did her job well convincing us there was nothing wrong with being eccentric and marching to your own beat. She self medicated by drinking beer in the marathon baths she took so we would blame the craziness on that. She would be up at 3 in the morning waxing the kitchen floor with 7 coats of wax in high heels. I asked her why was she up so late??? Because she didn't want my brother or I to mess up the wax. We gave people all kinds of reasons to explain a beloved person's irrational behavior because back then to be declared mentally ill was lower than a convicted murderer. A murderer can do the time and be rehabilitated for release but there weren't very many medications for bipolar and you don't ever lose it. Just locked up forever with kids being farmed out to relatives or foster care homes. And nobody would marry you if you had "crazy" in your gene pool. This kind of behavior was called manic depressive back then. I never heard the actual words until I went to nursing school. Funny now as we hear bipolar all the time now. I bet Warren knew someone whose behavior was explained away by he just an excitable boy. That's just what we did back then because mental illness was never discussed except in whispers and promises to never tell. I miss Warren's quirky music. He was ahead of his time.

What a disgusting song! Did it actually get played on the radio? Was the singer 🇬🇧 or 🇺🇸? I obviously don't know him but sorry to hear of his passing away so young. R.I.P. ⚘
