Paracord Snake Knot Knife Lanyard - Simple Easy to Tie Knife Lanyard Tutorial 🛠

This comment was by Aaron Jones and may help others: "I've done this lanyard knot on dozens of knives thanks to this great tutorial. Every time I've used a large spool of 7 strand 550 paracord, melting the ends with a lighter to prevent fraying. Today I was doing this lanyard knot on a knife using a new to me paracord. Its called Tough-Grid 550 paracord which has 7 inner triple strands (they seem thicker than the other cordage I use) as well as an 8th "tracer strand" which is thinner.

The first knot went fine but it took several attempts to get the second knot to seat against the first. I could not get a third knot. After numerous attempts the only thing I could think of that would make a difference was the thicker inner strands. I cut the melted tips of the paracord off and made the remaining knots with no problem. With the ends melted the thicker inner strands must have been binding up, preventing the knots from seating. With the open ends it let the inner stands twist freely, allowing the knots to seat. Hopefully this will help anyone using this heavier cordage.
Snake Knot Knife Lanyard Easy to Tie Tutorial. The snake knot is a really easy knot to learn to tie. If you want a decorative knife lanyard or key lanyard then this is a really good knot to learn. This knot is also especially goo for the beginner, as it is very simple and decorative at the same time."

Holy moly, ingenious. The repetition is priceless and essential for us bored 50-year-old adolescent American males playing with our knife toys. Thanks.

Excellent tutorial; thanks so much for sharing. Repetition is the key to teaching something like this, and you did it perfectly with this knot. I’m a clumsy old man, and even I was able to sit down and whip out a nice lanyard for my new knife. Well done! 👍

Thank you! You are one of they few people that explained this knot clearly. One thing you should add - Don't melt the ends of the cord until after all the tying is done.

I won't lie, your words made very little sense to me at first, but the speed you went and how clearly things ended up being shown without any stupid jump cuts, I was finally able to tie this bloody knot after so many failed attempts from other videos. Thank you so much
