Thank you. My apartment management won’t fix my walls and floors until I move out but they look horrible. So I’m taking it upon myself to fix them up because they are so ugly and depressing.

Thanks! That's a very detailed video. I'm not sure I'm ready to tackle the job, but it's good to know how it's done.

Thanks so much. How do you decide when it’s time to completely replace the drywall on a wall vs skim coating like this? I’ve got a rental property that was built in the 1800s and every wall looks just terrible from years of patching and settling. I think this video will be very helpful for me to repair many of them but wondering if there’s a point where it’s cheaper/easier to just replace rather than repair?

What grit of sandpaper do you recommend for prepping the walls?

Hi thank you for video, is it necessary to sand or can you blade to even area and then apply coat? Second question is can you use roller to apply this coats?

I am stuck, after watching your video, I've gotten about an 8x7 wall skim coated, but are you supposed to sand between each coat? I'm using a thin multi use compound, since after almost breaking my back starting with the midweight proform. I can see patchy areas now, although it's all smooth. Will I need to use a primer (was a beige/caramel color previously) or can I just put two coats of sherman willams 4000 ultra hide?
