Scarlett Johansson got an unexpected surprise on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
"I think this is our fifth movie," she said of her "Avengers: Age of Ultron" co-star Chris Evans. "We've been working together since we were like, I don't know, 17 I think, or something like that. I know him very well. Too well, I'm sure."
Turns out ScarJo doesn't know him that well as the "Captain America" star crept up behind her while she chatted with DeGeneres and she was totally oblivious to the matter.
"Scarlett!" he yelled, slapping the back of her seat.
The 30-year-old actress screamed and covered her mouth before quickly turning to see her longtime pal, who was laughing hysterically and clapping along with the audience.
"Oh my god!" she said, smiling and hugging Evans. "That was terrifying."
Still, it was likely not as terrifying as becoming a mom for the first time. The "Lucy" star welcomed daughter Rose with her then-fiancé, French journalist Romain Dauriac, in September. By October, they were man and wife after the pair secretly married in Philipsburg, Mont.Scarlett Johansson dished on filming ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ while pregnant. ‘I was pretty big.’
"How old is she now?" the daytime talk show host asked.
"She's gonna be eight months," Johansson said.
DeGeneres boasted about how great she looked and referenced a magazine spread she shot before her baby bump started showing that pegged her as a, "naked alien, action hero, supermom."
"Are you all three of those things?" DeGeneres asked.
"Not all at the same time," Johansson replied.
She was being modest as she was pregnant throughout the filming of the latest "Avengers" installment.
"I actually shot this film."I actually shot this film while I was pretty pregnant, which is kind of crazy. I never thought I would be doing this movie pregnant. It was mind blowing," she recalled.
"I was really happy to be working," she said. "I never thought I would be working in that condition. I was pretty big."
"How did they hide that?" DeGeneres quizzed.
In true artistic form, Johansson didn't want to give away all of Hollywood's post-production secrets.
"It just magically went away," she said, smiling. "Movie magic."
