I love my Push 2, makes Ableton Live and any 3rd party VSTs and Plug-Ins feel like hardware! It’s like going DAWless with a DAW, best of all worlds!

I still rock a used Push 1 that I got a few years ago. You can grab them used on reverb for ~$200. Looks a little dated, but still kicks ass.

What I have become wary about is that it conditions you to approach music in a very specific way. It’s a great product but I found keyboard and mode way faster. Would definitely recommend over any other controller for Ableton though if you can afford it

I got the Novation Launchpad Pro MK3 just for that purpose. its half the price of the Push and even has a built in standalone sequencer

I need a Push 3 with brighter LEDs so I can see wtf I’m doing when playing outdoor shows.

Still use push 1. I heard the push 2, made by ableton had some issues with stuck pads. Case to case thing. The akai model hasn’t let me down.

It would be great if you could access tracks quickly. You only have access to tracks 1-8. If you want to work on track 25, forget it, you’re back to your mouse. It would be great if you could hit shift and the 25th pad. Unless you guys know a way to do it besides creating a midi script in the user profile

Even the first generation of Push is still okay... at least throigh Ableton 10. It's a great option if your funds are limited.
