I just want to say, Amorim and his tactics aside, I’m quite impressed with Joe’s analysis this season. This is a new thing on Paddock (Joe doing this kind of analysis), although we expect it from Ste here or on his own channel, but I’m quite impressed with Joe. Why didn't Ten Hag choose a formation that would suit Hojland, Rashford, Garnacho as a front 3 or at least try that formation. I actually feel a bit sad for Ten Hag as he did win us 2 Trophies in 2 years all the best Ten Hag and thank you for bringing silver wear back to Old Trafford 👏

One the best things Amorim has is that he has 20 starting players, not just a starting 11. He makes his teams in away that he changes 2/3 players, who ever they are, but it seems you are always playing with a starting eleven. This is very important because of injuries, red cards, the season is long and intense. And the players are totally motivated. Sporting has had many injured players this season, and the team keeps winning easy.

I am Portuguese and I can say that Rúben's main qualities are communication, trust and confidence in the players and always protecting them. He likes the team to be together and he gets rid of whoever is not with the team if he wants the 23 players to always have the same attitude, commitment and together.

This is a drastic change of style from the ETH teams. Getting this through to the current team in a short while while also expecting to win games is a bit scary with this demotivated team. Thw international break cant come soon enough and also the Jan transfer window. Good luck!

All of these tactics and high intensity pressing, catching the opposition out high up the pitch is pretty much Ten Hag's tactics... the same players couldn't do it then, so Amorim will have his work cut out.

If you watch his teams and pay close attention to his line ups, he often utilises wingers in the full back roles. I wouldn't be surprised to see a team where maybe Dalot is on one side, and a winger is on the other side

I like the breakdown joe and i think this manager is great he was one of my initial favorites alongside nagelsman. I never thought we would get zidane. My biggest concern is we have too many players who’s skillset do not fit a high possession style. I do not think we have enough centerbacks, right and leftbacks and our wingers other than Amad are awful at retaining possession. Amorims style looks like it takes very high IQ players and idk how many can understand and do this style. Overall Amorims success will largely come down to his ability to get players in who can fit his system and get out ones that can’t and I think NO PLAYERS SHOULD BE SAFE but what we have seen over the past 10 years says otherwise. Overall im very excited for Amorim but am worried he will be forced to keep players who simply can’t do what he wants to do.

I'm taking a break from watching, cause I can't force myself to get behind a completely different manager, and pretend that I've always rated him and want him to be here. @3:22 i have seen onana and company do that and loosing possesion eventually once ball reaches garnacho or bruno or some other forward meanwhile the full backs have pushed forward and lot of space in left on the wings to attack us and then get bashed easily from a simple cross so nothing special in the tactics its all about how well he manages to implement that united looked brilliant in one off game under eth like fa cup finalsbut eventually its the players that have let down the club time nd time again.
