I feel like if Mount can stay fit he'd do quite well in this system

Bruno and Amad would be absolute class in those two floating 10 positions

Every time I think about the fact Alphonso Davies contract is up in the summer my brain overloads with dopamine…

Sporting uses left footed wingbacks on the right, they are wide but the goal is not to cross the ball, it's to have multiple options

I know a certain Brazilian on our team that might be able to help.

Mazraoui seems good for a wing back position. And Utd were needing to get a new left back in anyway

Maybe he'll do a Ten Hag on it and just sign all the old players he's managed might work this time

“It just works much better when the best players are in the best positions!”

Amorim strategy is about moving around all forwards, plenty of times you can see gyokeres moving to the sidelines, trincao on the left side and Pedro Goncalves on the right side, he likes the wingers with the wrong foot so they can move inside instead of crossing, Gyokeres it's a rubbish header lol, it's harder for defenders when they move around and with different movements on the pitch, MU players need to get ready to run and run, and get ready to see some youngsters benching some (stars)

Mate, he plays WINGERS as wingbacks and one of the "10s" plays as an inside forward. Therefore, there are no problems 🙂

whatever strategies that given to players after all they play according to their own style & not really following the coach instructions

Mazraoui is a really good technician. I believe he might put him LB with a wideman upfront of him. Like a 3-4-3

Dalot Mainoo Casemiro Mazraoui
Bruno Højlund Rashford

With Rashford & Dalot giving width
Bruno Mazraoui cutting in

Lots of tactics are good if the players suit it

as a chelsea fan i would say that chilwell is a player that would work in this system it would be a win win for all sides manu were already linked with him in the summer so wouldn't be surprised if he comes in winter but only issue is he is injury prone but when fit he can pose alot of problems for the opposition teams

Very true. Man utd forwards would have to adopt or utd sells them and then buy more appropriate players making the entire process expensive amidst FFP and PSR restrictions
Unless we are to see a dynamic amorim who last used a back 4 at casa pia where he lost those games till he changed to a back 3
I hope he will be able to be dynamic with systems given his 4 years experience at least at coaching
Bruno has shown he best plays well when operating in the left half space. So that would be worth considering

Yeah this guy clearly hasn't seen a single Sporting game, Amorim has no problem to play full backs in their opposite feet, both of Sporting's RB are left footed
Plus while Pote is indeed a 10 playing as a "winger" like Bruno will be, the other side is played by Trincão or Marcus Edwards who are indeed wingers, so Garnacho or Rashford could perfectly play there too

A good coach knows how to work with the players available. System has to come second when joining a team mid season

i think either antony or amad would suit that lwb role. Amorim said intensity is the key for his style so I would put anthony in lwb and play amad in another 10 role and turn it to 3421.

But at the same time having 2-3 forwards that is only good at getting behind is really what makes united lack creativity upfront and a drought of chances for the strikers so either adapt (garnacho) or get sold (rashford)

Dalot is a winger and decent going forward. All you need to find is a left footed winger/wingback (if Shaw and Malacia can't stay fit). I won't be surprised if Garnacho plays at wingback, at least till then can find a proper one for the position. Also, Rashford is best when coming in from the left (he's not a line hugging winger nor a centre forward). And if the coach can't adapt and players are absolute squares that can't fit another shape, then there's no conversation to be had.

If he's as good a coach as he's made out to be, it'll be a good change to see a United team with some sort of identity. He will have bigger problems off the pitch.
