Came to post something related to the Tariffs and spread the news. Y'know how people said they calculated tarrifs against the US via tariff rates+non-tariff barriers? And how those are apparently fake tariffs coming the US's way? A dude names James Surowiecki did some math and realized that they actually took our trade deficit with each individual country and divided it by the country's exports to us. He uses this example, right?

Indonesia. We got $17.9 billion trade deficit with 'em. Exports to us are $28 billion. $17.9/$28 = 64%, which Mr. 47 says is the tariff rate Indonesia charges us.

He did some tests and found the same rules applies to... At least- if I'm understanding right- applies to the UK, Turkey, Argentina, Morocco... Though I saw some questions on Australia. I ain't here to be a big economy wizard or anything- moreso just the messenger and spread the word.
