I don't know exactly how it worked with the theatrical releases but I'll never forget being a kid and seeing Independence Day and Titanic back to back. We didn't even change theaters. Such a long time at the movies but really fun.

To be fair, Will Smith was the perfect actor for that part. His bravado was so infectious that we couldn't help but love it. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing that part.

Seeing Independence Day on opening weekend was one of my top 3 movie going experiences of my life. The crowd was going absolutely crazy the entire movie. People might not think about it much today, but it was one of the biggest movies of all time back in the 90s.
